The CAO is expected to provide exceptional leadership through organizational engagement, proactive communications and an injection of enthusiasm and energy throughout the County operation. A significant factor to success in this role relates to an ability to adapt to and embrace the community and culture of San Benito County.
This position requires seven or more years of progressively responsible local government experience involving budget management, fiscal planning, and human/labor relations management including at least three years in a supervisory or management capacity. A BA/BS degree is required and an MA/MS degree is desirable. County experience in California is preferred.
