Annual salary range: $127,911 to $170,173

Description:

The county is seeking experienced candidates with the ability to: direct the daily operations of local government, advise the Board of County Commissioners, interpret and direct both policy and budget actions, and inspire staff by promoting best practices in an organization with more than 700 employees. The ideal candidate should be visible and active in the community, collaborating with both people and organizations as a hands-on working manager. Areas of focus include water rights, the preservation of agricultural land, budget optimization, collective bargaining, housing, fiber infrastructure, public health, capital projects, public works, and legislative priorities.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration or related field is required and a Master’s degree in a related discipline (e.g. MPA, MBA) is desirable. Applicants should have at least five years of public or private sector experience in a comparably sized organization/community.
