Description:

County Counsel provides expert legal counsel to the Board of Supervisors and County Departments; plans, organizes, coordinates and directs all phases of the work of the County Counsel’s Office. The incumbent
will confront a number of community issues, including high-profile litigation regarding land use issues and continuing efforts to improve Code Enforcement in the unincorporated County. They will be expected to work closely with the Board, the County Administrative Office, the Risk Manager and department heads in addressing these challenges.

Qualifications:

Must be a current member of the California State Bar Association.
Significant experience in the active practice of law in a public agency in the State of California which has included management or supervision of professional staff, and extensive litigation and administrative experience.
