Description:

Solano is well recognized for quality of life and affordable California living. Solano County seeks a County Counsel who is experienced in providing legal counsel on matters related to civil litigation, land use (CEQA) and property tax assessment appeals, child welfare, public guardianship, personnel and employment law and related matters supporting 18 County departments, and is an active member in the California State Bar. Our ideal candidate should be a “hands on” leader, strong manager and someone who has experienced serving public sector organizations.

Qualifications:

Strong litigation experience, with a history of success and/or leading attorney teams that win cases
Knowledge and experience providing legal counsel on matters related to civil litigation, land use (CEQA), agriculture and employment law
Demonstrated experience practicing civil law with a California public agency, or a firm that supports public agencies, and ideally has management, supervisory and administrative experience
Active membership in the California State Bar
