Salary:

Up to $106,620/month, + DOQ. Effective 7/1/16, the annual salary will increase to $130,161. In addition, incumbents will receive an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS Retirement Benefit formula of 2.7% @ 55 for individuals identified as “classic members” pursuant to the provisions of California’s 2013 Pension Reform Act.

The incumbent will plan, direct, manage, and oversee the functions, operations and program of the Madera County Library System. The Madera County Library provides the public with valuable informational, cultural, and recreational resources such as books, magazines, music, reference materials, electronic media, and a range of support services. Services are provided through five (5) public facilities: Chowchilla Branch, Madera Main Branch, Madera Ranchos Branch, North Fork Branch, and Oakhurst Branch.

The Madera County Library system also provides the public with Internet access, Inter-Library Loans, computer usage, databases and e-resources, and hosts special programs and events for the public.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess seven (7) years of increasingly responsible professional library experience including three (3) years of management and supervisory experience and a Master’s Degree in Library Science.
