$5,507 – $7,067 Monthly

Appointment at an advanced salary step may be considered depending upon qualifications and experience.

Description:

Under direction, perform and administer the statutory functions of the County Surveyor: duties include, but are not limited to preparing and reviewing legal descriptions of property, annexations, special districts, incorporations and subdivisions; verifying by law all maps and records prior to recordation; supervising field crews, coordinating right of way engineering and related field work activities. This position is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and works under the direction of the County Public Works Director. 

Qualifications:

Requires California licensure as a Land Surveyor or as a Civil Engineer prior to 1982. Desirable education and experience would include the equivalent to a four year degree in land surveying, civil engineering or a closely related field and five years of professional land surveying experience.
