Description:

The County of Sonoma Human Services Department Information Systems Manager oversees an 8 person unit that works collaboratively to serve approximately 1,000 HSD employees. The unit is responsible for application development (web and client), business intelligence/advanced reporting, enterprise data management and reporting, database administration, internal and external website maintenance, and implementation and system administration of all programming tools/platforms/systems.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will bring experience in managing all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and possess the ability to encourage, lead, and support a technical team. As such, the ideal candidate will have experience and skill in the following areas:

• Business Analysis – Communicating with business constituents to understand objectives and needs; defining and documenting business requirements for application development, enterprise reporting, and data management
• Project Management – Applicable experience working in an Agile/Scrum SDLC and project management environment; the ability to recommend system and process changes to improve efficiencies and integrity
• Web Application Development – Managing and/or building applications in a Microsoft Web-matrix and ASP.NET Razor environment with MS SQL backend; a working knowledge of MS Visual Studio
• Enterprise Data Management/Data Governance – Managing a large MS SQL environment; a working knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio
• Strength Based Leadership – Develop and foster positive professional relationships; to work effectively, support, and grow with a diverse group of customers, subordinates, and peers
