Description:

The County of El Dorado’s County Counsel Office is seeking a motivated, confident, articulate attorney with at least 5 years experience to join our collegial office of eleven attorneys and five staff who are all committed to providing the highest quality public service while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and enjoying their work life.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have an excellent academic background, exceptional research and writing skills, excellent communication skills, tact and a good sense of humor. The attorney chosen will be adept at creative, strategic, problem solving and will have the desire to assume responsibility and work cooperatively on a wide variety of complex, fast moving projects.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a wide range of the practice areas facing a medium sized, growing County, including significant experience in one or more of the following substantive areas: Experience in one or more areas of government finance, litigation, probate, public guardian and/or public administrator, real property and/or eminent domain, public works, land use, or local government is desirable.
