Description:

The Office provides legal advice and representation to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, County Elected and Appointed Officials and departments. Additional duties include crafting legal strategies, drafting and reviewing legal documents, analyzing legislation and representing the County in litigation.

Qualifications:

The Office of the County Counsel is looking for an attorney with three or more years of experience in government law, preferably with public health, probation and mental health. Courtroom experience representing a public agency in California is also preferred. Desired skills include excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to identify problems, research and recommend solutions and facilitate conflict agreements. Must be a member of the California State Bar Association.
