Salary:

Napa County Counsel’s Office is seeking applicants to fill one full-time vacancy for Deputy County Counsel III/IV. Primary responsibilities, approximately two-thirds of the attorney’s time, will be to represent Juvenile Dependency; however, all attorneys in the County Counsel office are expected to handle multiple areas of the law and various departments in order to meet operational needs. This is the advanced journey/expert level class in the Deputy County Counsel series. Attorneys perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series. This classification is designated as an “at will” classification.

Description:

The position will be primarily focused on juvenile dependency, however, the selected attorney will also be assigned other areas of responsibility. Successful candidates should have experience as an attorney in juvenile dependency (a minimum of 3 years). Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility and the complexity of duties assigned. The department may choose to fill these vacancies at the III or IV level, depending on the qualifications of the candidate pool. The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies for up to one year.
