Salary:

$78,164.73 – $141,131.05, additional salary may be considered by the CEO depending on qualifications.

Description:

The County of Santa Barbara is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Deputy County Executive Officer position. The Deputy provides advice and counsel to the County Executive Officer on a variety of policy and procedural matters related to the effective administration of County government and its operating departments. 

Qualifications:

In order to be considered, the candidate must be in possession of:
1. Five years extensive and progressively responsible administrative/managerial experience in a public jurisdiction or large complex organization, experience supervising management staff desirable; and
2. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required, Master’s Degree preferred, or
3. A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
