Description:

The Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) of the County of San Diego is seeking online applications and résumés from qualified individuals for Deputy Director, Departmental Operations. Résumés may be considered for openings in Central and South regions, and/or other regions and departments within HHSA as they occur. This recruitment is open to both internal and external candidates.

Under the direction of the Director, Regional Operations, the incumbent will assist with planning, directing, and coordinating services for their assigned department/region; manage and oversee administrative activities; and develop and implement policies and procedures related to County programs and operations.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or a certified foreign studies equivalency; AND five years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the classification. Experience must include three years of management level experience and at least one year of supervision.

Notes:
A master’s degree or higher may substitute for a total of one year of experience and cannot be applied to the required one year of supervision.
