$158,630 – $203,545 Annually DOE

Description:

The County of Santa Clara is seeking an innovative and proactive leader for the position of Deputy Director, Facilities and Fleet – Capital Programs. This is an executive leadership position that will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the day-to-day operations of the Capital Programs Division. This position is responsible for the management of small to complex construction programs within the County organization.

The Capital Programs Division manages the planning, design and construction of facility construction, alteration and major repair projects for County Government buildings. Our staff of 25 Architects, Engineers, Project Managers, Inspectors and Administrative staff are expert at managing the myriad of details that make a facility project successful. Our projects range in size from a straightforward upgrading of building features to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to the construction of the $150 million Valley Specialty Center.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Public or Business Administration or related field and a minimum of three (3) years recent experience the planning, administration and supervision of a capital programs function within a medium to large-sized organization. Possession of a valid CA Driver’s License is required at the time of appointment.
