Description:

San Mateo County Health System currently has an exceptional leadership opportunity for a motivated Deputy Director of Finance and Administration – Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (BHRS). The effective participation as an Executive Team member necessitates a strong affiliation with the BHRS vision, mission and values, the ability to think strategically and a passion for quality improvement.

This Deputy Director will have direct responsibility for key administrative functions, including all finance related functions such as fiscal policy, budgeting, revenue enhancement, fiscal monitoring and billing for grants and services; information technology; contracts and grants management; personnel-related functions; administrative support services for both clinical and non-clinical operations; facilities; and purchasing.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a broad range and depth of experience and knowledge of behavioral health funding, claiming and fiscal monitoring and performance; information technology and electronic health records; civil service personnel laws, regulations and procedures; and the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels, e.g. facilitate the resolution of information technology and billing issues.

The successful candidate will have four years of increasing responsible administrative experience in the development of behavioral health care policy or administration of behavioral health services, including at least two or more years of finance and budget administration; and one or more years of significant responsibility for one or more of the following: personnel, information technology and contracts management.
