Description:

The Deputy Director of General Services is an Assistant Department Head classification that assists the Director of Public Works with planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing the operations, projects and financial elements of the General Services Division. General services includes: Solid waste disposal, flood control operations at Lake Siskiyou Box Canyon Project, airports, STAGE transportation, and Siskiyou Power Authority. Additionally, this classification will provide civil engineering studies and functions for public works as needed; and other related work as required.

Qualifications:

• Five years of increasingly responsible work experience in public works or like field in infrastructure planning, design, and construction work, including at least two years in an administrative management or supervisory position and;
• Registration as a professional engineer from the state of California or ability to obtain a professional engineer license within a year of date of employment.
