Description:

Ventura County is located on California’s “Gold Coast,” approximately 35 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 20 miles southeast of Santa Barbara. Residents enjoy rolling hills and sweeping ocean views in a nearly perfect Mediterranean climate with an average annual temperature of 74.2 degrees.

Under general direction of the Director or Chief Deputy Director of the Human Services Agency, the Deputy Director – HSA – Administrative Services provides oversight of and directs the Administrative Services Division of the Human Services Agency.

This position is exempt from provisions of Civil Service Ordinances.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, psychology, social work or a related field
AND
Five years of increasingly responsible managerial and leadership experience managing Administrative Services in a social service, non-profit or governmental environment; including at least two years of upper management level experience. Necessary Special Requirements apply.
