Description:

This is a management classification which has responsibility for assisting with managing and directing the County Planning Division. Provide highly responsible and technical staff support for planning studies and functions. Serve as staff for LAFCO and the Local Council of Governments.

Qualifications:

Five years of responsible work experience in performing professional planning work in California, including at least one year in a supervisor or lead capacity. Must possess substantial experience with preparing and reviewing CEQA related documents and codes. Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in planning, or a closely related field, is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; experience in public speaking and independent decision making; and the ability to analyze and respond to challenges quickly are also highly desirable.
