$90,792.00 – $121,680.00 Annually


Under general direction of the Director of Public Works, the incumbent is responsible to coordinate and direct the work of the departments Waste Management Division, to prepare and oversee the annual solid waste plans and budgets for the landfill site activities, supervise professional and technical staff, provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of divisional units including design engineering, recycling operations, (liquid waste), franchise agreements and landfill operations.


-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
-Six (6) years of experience in solid or hazardous waste management, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
-Possession of one or more of the following is required: Registered Professional Engineer, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Manager Landfill Operations (MOLO) certificate, Master’s degree in a related field.
-Possession of a valid State of California driver’s license.
