$162,689 – $208,764 Annually DOE

Description:

The County of Santa Clara is seeking for a progressive, energetic, responsive, and politically astute leader to fill a critical executive management position of Director, Consumer and Environmental Protection Agency in our organization. The Director is responsible for managing and directing the functions and staff of Environmental Health, Vector Control District, Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures, Animal Care & Control, Recycling and Waste Reduction, Clean Water, University of California Cooperative Extension, and Weed Abatement programs. This is an executive management position that reports directly to a Deputy County Executive.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate would typically possess a college education in Business or Public Administration and a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in private or public employment in a responsible administrative or management position requiring the planning and execution of work programs or administrative operations, the budgeting of expenditures, and the coordination of varied activities in directing and managing complex resource management operations, functions, and staff.
