Description:

Join the City of Berkeley to deliver best in class human and community services to the citizens of Berkeley as the Director of Health, Housing and Community Services (HHCS) Director.

Reporting to the City Manager, the Director will provide overall leadership, policy development and management to the City’s 2nd largest department, with a budget of $41 million and 214 employees.

HHCS is looking for an inspirational leader who is able to create and foster a work environment where, compassion, cultural competence, diversity and inclusion, racial equity are valued, and collaboration with departments, community partners and others is encouraged and supported while providing quality services in health, housing, and community services to the residents of Berkeley.
