The County of El Dorado is conducting this recruitment to fill one (1) full-time vacancy for the Department of Information Technologies located in Placerville, California. This position is an at-will Department Head position appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

El Dorado County is seeking a dynamic Director of Information Technology with exceptional management, interpersonal, and communication skills to lead its fast paced, evolving department. This at-will executive level position reports to the Board of Supervisors.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, network communications, business administration or a closely related field and five years of increasingly responsible experience planning, organizing, directing, managing and coordinating the activities of one or more major functional units of an enterprise wide, large scale, multi platform, networked, information processing organization.
OR:
Three years experience equivalent to the County’s class of Information Technology Manager.
