Description:

The County of Santa Clara is seeking an innovative and proactive leader for the position of Director of Materials Management. Under the direction of the SCVMC Chief Executive Officer, this is an executive leadership position that will be responsible for leading, supervising, and coordinating operations of the Materials Management Department and its activities, including Sterile Processing, Supply Logistics, Laundry/Linen, Receiving Services, Forms Management, and Product Management Divisions of Health and Hospital System.

SCVMC’s committed staff provides comprehensive, compassionate, and innovative healthcare services throughout the hospital, as well as in 11 health facilities conveniently located across Santa Clara County, with eight Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHCs) that serve the primary care needs of patients. The medical center is a 574-bed tertiary acute care hospital recognized for its exceptional inpatient and outpatient care and its full range of specialty services. It is the county hospital and primary trauma center in Santa Clara County – one of four adult Level I trauma centers in northern California and one of three pediatric Level I trauma centers in the region.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration or closely related field with emphasis on material and logistical management; and a minimum of five (5) years recent managerial level experience in hospital materials management.
