$120,499 to $168, 574 Annually (DOQ)

Description:

Monterey County, CA seeks an experienced, progressive and service oriented municipal administrator to be the County’s new Director of Parks and Recreation. The Director is appointed by the County Administrative Officer (CAO) and reports to the Assistant CAO. She/he directs the administration, public safety, maintenance, and marketing of the County’s beautiful parks, trails, beaches, camp grounds, and recreational facilities. 

Qualifications:

Requires education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, recreation, park administration, conservation or closely related field, and five years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal management of parks and recreation programs, community services, recreational development, and/or park administration, including three years in a management capacity. Graduate degree is desirable.
