Description:

Public Works is seeking an outstanding individual to provide the Department leadership in capital project financial tracking and reporting, and in developing stronger tools to track its performance metrics to drive the strategic plan.

This individual will create and implement a robust set of project and financial controls across the organization that support the effective implementation of capital projects. This individual will work with Department leaders to integrate and develop executive reporting around Department performance metrics.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be self-starting, solution-oriented, energetic, analytical, strategic, creative and results-oriented with a strong background in business management and proven experience in developing financial and schedule controls that can be applied to capital projects with budgets that range from $100k to $1B.

Public Works is responsible for delivering major capital projects and voter-approved bond programs totaling in excess of $4.5 billion. These capital projects are managed by architects and engineers in the divisions of Building Design & Construction and the Infrastructure Design and Construction.
