$8,959.00 – $10,889.00 per month plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Colusa County offers a wide variety of recreational activities centered around wildlife, lakes, rivers, and the coastal mountain range for endless family fun. We are seeking a dynamic Public Works Director to serve in an appointed capacity.   The Director plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Public Works  Department including engineering, road and bridge maintenance, traffic control, solid waste, equipment maintenance, and the county’s transportation programs. Serves as the County Road Commissioner, County Surveyor, County Engineer, Executive Director to the Transportation Commission and District Engineer for the Flood Control District.

Qualifications:

Education:  Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
License: Possession of a California certificate of registration as a professional civil engineer. California  Land surveying license preferred.
Experience:  Seven years of increasingly responsible public works and engineering experience including three years of administrative and supervisory responsibility
