$140,000 + DOQ Annually

Description:

The County of Fresno is offering a rewarding and challenging career opportunity for an experienced, innovative, and dynamic leader to serve as the Director of Social Services. Reporting to the County Administrative Officer, the Director of Social Services determines policy, develops programs and formulates operational objectives within local, state and federal legal requirements, County ordinances, policy and procedural guidelines and directs the activities of the Department of Social Services.

Qualifications:

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system.

Experience: Five (5) years of full-time, paid management work experience equivalent to a Deputy Director at the County of Fresno with direct oversight of large scale social services programs.

Substitution: Possession of a master’s degree that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

License: Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.
