Salary:

$5155-$6266/month and an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS Retirement Benefit formula of 2.7% @ 55 for individuals identified as “classic members” pursuant to the provisions of California’s 2013 Pension Reform Act.

The incumbent plans, evaluates, initiates, and conducts criminal and welfare fraud investigations, including sensitive cases; supports prosecution of criminal matters; prepares evidence and information for legal cases; conducts investigations relating to suspected fraudulent receipt of public assistance aid; negotiates for and secures repayment of funds fraudulently obtained; performs law enforcement and criminal prevention assignments; and does related work as required.

Qualifications:

The position requires: two (2) years of comprehensive law enforcement experience assigned to investigations; equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level course work and specialized training in law enforcement; and possession of a Basic Certificate from the CA Commission on P.O.S.T.
