Description:

Appointed by and reporting to the Board of Directors, the District Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-day functions and operations of the District’s services/responsibilities, which include fire protection and emergency response services, street lighting, recreation programs and facilities, and parks and open space. MCSD is supported by 21 full-time and over 200 part-time, seasonal staff and a 2014-15 $4.8M budget. 

Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities to perform this position is qualifying. A typical path would be five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the administration of services and programs, which includes five (5) years in a management or supervisory position and the equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. A Master’s degree is desirable.
