District Manager
The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District is recruiting within the State of California for a highly experienced administrator to carry out the mission statement and goals of the District. The new District Manager will work closely with the Board of Trustees, full-time staff, and with an annual budget of $10.8 million. This senior-level executive will be results-driven, with well-grounded and ethical decision making abilities, superior interpersonal and communication skills, and outstanding public speaking abilities. The District serves approximately 3.1 million residents in a roughly 948-square mile area. 

Qualifications:

The District Manager must have dynamic leadership, interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills. He/She will be chosen upon the basis of knowledge, experience, education, and demonstrated administrative abilities of management, public finance, personnel, and organizational skills. A Bachelor’s in business, public administration, or a related discipline is required. An advanced degree is desirable. This position requires 7 years of responsible experience as an administrator, including 3 years of managerial or administrative experience within a complex organization with a reporting relationship to an elected body or board.
