The ITD, Network Services Division seeks a Division Manager to lead technical projects and activities for the County’s voice, data, video, radio, microwave, and broadband infrastructure. This position is a key member of ITD’s senior management team, overseeing services and operations being performed by approximately 22 full-time staff members, and will be instrumental in driving both organization and technology transformational change to provide state-of-the-art technology solutions that support our customers’ needs today and in the future. The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT professional with strong customer service experience that has worked in a highly diversified and complex technology environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and experience that includes internal standalone systems, virtual environments, and Software as a service (SaaS) / Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) providers.

ITD’s network team is tasked to architect, engineer, operate, and maintain a secure, reliable, and scalable County network, and to offer a unified Internet Protocol (IP) foundation on which emerging applications can be based upon. The team is responsible for providing network services to approximately 85 sites, including County departments and public safety agencies. A major network redesign and refresh is underway in order to build a next generation network utilizing state-of-the-art technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure, Cisco iWAN, and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).

Any combination of training, education, and/or experience which provides for the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties listed above is qualifying. An example of a way these requirements might be acquired is:

Completion of coursework leading to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related field; and five (5) years’ of progressively responsible experience in information technology program operations and administration, two (2) of which should be at the management level.
