Description:

The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals to fill several Engineering positions at all levels, from entry to registered engineers, within the Department to assist with design, administration, management, and delivery of a wide-ranging scope of projects and programs.

An ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills with experience, appropriate to the Engineering level, in the design or management of engineering projects associated with roadway, sanitary sewer, water, storm drainage or capital improvement; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; and the ability to identify and solve complex problems.

Qualifications:

Qualifications: The qualifications vary depending on the level. Entry level candidates should have the ability to obtain their BS/BA degree from a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology within 12 months (less than 15 units remaining); or have possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate; while the higher levels will require experience, an Engineer-in-Training certificate, or be a registered Engineer by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. All levels require possession of a valid California driver’s license.
