Description:

The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking a highly experienced, self-motivated leader to join a progressive, public service employer who provides great opportunities for diverse assignments and professional growth. 

The Engineer IV is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer level and performs advanced professional field and office engineering work, provides professional engineering judgment on projects and studies, and may supervise engineering staff.  

The current vacancies are in the Water Resources and Flood Management Divisions. An ideal candidate will have professional engineering experience with a public sector employer in the area of Water Resources and/or Flood Management engineering.

Qualifications:

Certificates: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer as issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.

**Experience:  Two years of engineering experience attained either pre or post registration as a Civil Engineer performing activities relating to water resources and/or flood management issues.

License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
