$7,526 – $9,409/Month

Description:

Will evaluate information to ensure legal compliance with the Probate Code regarding inventories, sales, distributions, marshaling of assets, identifying asset character and noticing requirements, etc., in addition to managing a medium-sized warehouse containing client personal property; managing staff who marshal, inventory, pack, maintain, release and transport personal property; negotiating, administering, monitoring and evaluating contracts, currently with up to 14 vendors, to ensure program and legal requirements; using the California Probate Code for probate sales process for real property and completion of probate escrows; recommending fiscally responsible financial investment strategies for clients; overseeing systems and processes for Federal and State tax compliance; and managing audit and control systems and processes. 

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Economics, Business Administration or related field, 3 years of experience performing a wide variety of financial duties in a large, complex public agency, and knowledge of principles and practices of accounting, research methods and financial planning, as well as County department operations and its administration and organization. Ideal candidates will also have a strong understanding of the CA Probate Code, the probate sales process for real property, systems and processes for Federal and State tax compliance, audit and control systems and processes, contract management and financial investment strategies.
