The Floodplain Management Association (FMA) is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to serve as Executive Director to the FMA Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for managing the day to day programs, finances and vendor contracts of the Association under the direction of the Board of Directors.
The Executive Director should possess the skills and experience to administer a professional non-profit organization, assist the Board in the preparation of annual budgets, and provide leadership in achieving the strategic plan goals and objectives of FMA. The Executive Director is expected to maintain knowledge of current regulations in floodplain management, techniques in team building, and creative problem solving.
The Executive Director should possess a degree in engineering, business administration, communications, or public policy, or have increasingly responsible management or administration experience totaling 5 years.
The Executive Director will be responsible for providing their own office space which should be located within either Southern or Northern California.
