Description:

The Chief Executive Office announces an opportunity for a strong leader with a track record of promoting gender equity in government, nonprofits and/or business to help launch and lead a new Los Angeles County five-year initiative on Women and Girls (WGI). The Executive Director reports to the CEO, manages a staff of three and works in close collaboration to guide the WGI with a “Governing Council” (GC) of high-level volunteers with proven leadership in gender equity work.

Qualifications:

Six years of combined advocacy and government, or non-profit and government experience, in the planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of highly complex, agency-wide systems OR six years of experience at the level of Los Angeles County class of Special Services Assistant IV directing a major central staff section providing budget, personnel, or other administrative services in a department involved in similarly complex problems. Candidates must have proven expertise in collaborative program planning and development, communications, and report writing. Proven track record in advancing women’s rights or gender equity in the public, nonprofit, or private sectors.
