$126,255.84 – $161,823.97 Annually

Description:

The Finance Agency, through its three departments (Controller-Treasurer Department, Department of Tax and Collections, and Clerk-Recorder’s Office), manages the County’s financial systems and cash re-sources as well as the cash resources of school districts within the County. The agency’s wide perspective and scope of responsibilities are shaped by the combined strength of its individual departments, each providing unique and highly specialized services.

The Financial and Administrative Services Manager an Executive Management position that reports directly to the Director, Finance Agency and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating through subordinate managers the financial and administrative functions of the Finance Agency. The position is responsible for all financial, budgetary, human resources, facilities, and general administrative functions of the Agency.

Qualifications:

Performance of the typical responsibilities requires familiarity with a broad range of programmatic activities and in depth knowledge of County government. Excellent communication skills, ability to work across department lines, and ability to coordinate and possibly lead inter-departmental projects which have county-wide impact are highly desirable characteristics to be successful in this position.

A qualified candidate would typically acquire the necessary knowledge and abilities through education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration with an emphasis in accounting or a closely related field, and five (5) years current administrative/managerial experience directing a complex financial operation.
