The Fiscal Manager position will be assigned to the Accounting and Finance Unit of the Economic Development Agency’s (EDA) Housing Authority and report directly to the Deputy Director. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing approximately 10 staff members and managing the fiscal accounting and auditing systems for the Housing Authority, which includes budget creations and proformas, as well as grant portfolios. Additionally, he/she will compose strong financial executive summaries, and present findings/information to executive management.


Experience (both I & II): Four years of professional accountant experience which included a minimum of one year experience in governmental accounting. This experience must have also included one year of supervisory experience over other professional accountants.


Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Accounting. (A specialization in accounting is interpreted as 18 semester or 27 quarter units of accounting coursework.)


Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Public Accountant.

Highly Desired: Experience overseeing supervisory staff, preparing budgets, as well as managing audits and grant portfolios.

Desired: Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements. Presenting financial information/program recommendations with executive management.
