$163,452 to $223,236 Annually (DOQ)

Description:

The Monterey County Water Resources Agency is looking for an experienced General Manager. Agency is responsible for flood plain management and emergency flood-related preparedness, and has jurisdiction over water resources within all of Monterey County. The General Manager is appointed by the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors and, in accordance with the Agency Act, works closely with an appointed 9 member Board of Directors that has both an advisory role and certain decision-making authority. The General Manager functions as the Agency’s CEO responsible for managing the County’s water resources and minimizing any damage from flooding.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field plus 5 years of progressive managerial experience, at least 2 years as an executive within a complex water related organization. Valid certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
