County of Los Angeles, Internal Services Department:

The General Manager, Administration and Finance Service (AFS) is an unclassified position that works under the direction of the Department Head. The position has administrative oversight for 172 budgeted positions and directs, through subordinate managers, the activities of the Administration and Finance Service with particular responsibility for: budget, fiscal, human resources, risk management, facilities management, internal audit/investigations, revenue enhancement and other related administrative functions. The incumbent must have a comprehensive knowledge of the principles of financial and personnel management, budget preparation, and is responsible for ensuring that the policies, laws and regulations governing the operations of the department are followed.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field and five years senior management experience in a field related to the activities of the Service.
