The County of San Diego, Community Services Group (CSG) invites resumes from qualified candidates for Group Information Technology Manager to fill a vacancy at the Executive Office to support our five Group departments. The Group Information Technology Manager is an unclassified management position and reports directly to the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, CSG. This position serves as the liaison between group departments, external vendors and County executives defining technology needs and identifying business process re‐engineering opportunities; addressing and resolving issues; approving the installation and implementation of new software (desktop tools and business applications); and establishing and developing information security policies and procedures. The first review of applications will be January 13, 2017.
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or certi-fied equivalency for foreign studies AND five (5) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the classification which must include two (2) years of management or supervision. OR, A combination of experience and/or education. Note: A master’s degree or higher degree may substitute for a total of one (1) year. In order for education to substitute for work experience as indicat-ed above, college level coursework must demonstrate progress toward a degree and may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
