$66,352.00 – $79,268.80 Annually

Description:

The Public Health Chronic Disease Prevention Program is seeking applications for a full time Health Education Specialist. The position will be assigned to the California Tobacco Control Program grant. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a tobacco control program and collaborating with community partners to achieve common goals; an ability to translate individual health behavior principles and recommendations into guidance for population based health improvement strategies; and a commitment to reducing health inequities among Napa County residents.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Two years of experience in health education or planning, public health, mental health, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse prevention, or a closely related field.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in health education, community health, social services or a closely related field.

A Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.

License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
