The Marin County Human Resources Department and the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services (H&HS) are announcing a recruitment for the position of H&HS Planner/Evaluator. There is one full-time vacancy available in Division of Community Health Policy & Prevention, HIV/AIDS Program.

The Planner/Evaluator performs a variety of activities related to the planning, analysis and coordination of the HIV/AIDS Program. The Planner/Evaluator will coordinate state and federal funding for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention Services in Marin. The position will require a range of administrative assignments, including developing, negotiating and monitoring contracts, overseeing data collection and reporting, and coordinating quality management activities for the program. The position will act as a liaison to the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the State Office of AIDS. In addition, the position will work with local HIV Providers and a community planning board to get consumer input to improve the overall system of care.

The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing public health programs for people living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS, in particular Ryan White CARE Act funded programs. Candidates should have experience working with low-income communities, LGBTQ and consumers of services. The ideal candidate will have experience with reporting for complex state and federal grants, and evaluation activities. The candidate will possess strong oral, written, organizational, accounting, statistics and computer (spreadsheet) skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Experience equivalent to two years of analytical or administrative experience in a community planning, health or human services agency with responsibility for planning or evaluating one or more of the following areas: tobacco programs, alcohol and drug programs, mental health, public health, social services, aging, or income maintenance program. A Master’s Degree in the Social or Health Sciences from an accredited college with a specialty in administration, planning, evaluation or health education may substitute for one year of the required experience.
