Description:

The County of Yuba is seeking to hire a Health and Human Services Program Manager – Adult Services. The Adult Services Division coordinates Adult Protective Services, In-Home Supportive Services, the Multipurpose Senior Services Program, the Public Authority and the Senior Nutrition Access Card program. The Health and Human Services Program Manager-Adult Services has programmatic responsibility for the Adult Services Division of the Health and Human Services Department, including the administration of staff through subordinate levels of supervision. Responsibilities include coordinating, conducting and reviewing a variety of complex analytical and support activities; providing operational analysis and related strategic planning in a manner that supports operations and programs; and serving on a variety of committees, task forces and teams as the departmental representative.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Services, Public Administration, Social Services, Social or Behavioral Sciences*, Social Work or a field related to the work; and five years of supervisory experience equivalent to the County’s class series of Social Worker Supervisor or Eligibility Supervisor. Additional education, as described above, may be substituted for a maximum of two years of experience.
*Examples of social or behavioral sciences may include: anthropology, criminal justice, economics, education, ethnic studies, human development, philosophy, political science, psychology, social welfare, sociology and welfare and women’s studies.   Preferred: In addition to the minimum, a Master’s degree as previously defined and additional years of experience as previously defined.
