Description:

The San Mateo County Health System Administration is currently seeking an energetic, creative and self-motivated person to join our team as the Health System Administrative Program Coordinator I (Limited Term) to provide administrative and technical support for the department’s alternative work schedule, transportation demand management and employee/client resources programs.

The incumbent will perform research and/or data gathering activities around telework and alternative work schedule utilization and best practices; analyze and interpret data collected; prepare periodic or special reports based on conclusions; implement and document enhancements to Health System transportation demand and fleet management systems, policies and procedures; maintain program statistics and report to stakeholders; facilitate various group discussions around policy and procedure development; research training options for new initiatives and arrange for training as needed; take the lead in preparing, publishing and distributing event flyers, brochures and other marketing or educational materials; coordinate departmental language interpretation and translation services; serve as liaison between program staff and contracted vendors; and provide technical and administrative assistance to management and staff.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, management or related field, 2 years of professional level analytical and administrative experience in a community-related setting, the ability to develop, coordinate and implement plans, programs and events, and strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to exercise sound judgment within general policy and regulatory guidelines, as well as prepare clear and accurate reports, correspondence and procedures, organize and prioritize work and meet critical deadlines is important to your success.

This is a limited term position and is tentatively estimated to end 3 years from the hiring date. Benefit packages for term positions are similar to regular positions EXCEPT for retirement. Term employees receive a 401A retirement package and are not eligible for retiree health benefits or a defined benefit pension.
