Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the unit activities and staff of Classification, Recruitment, Examination, Certification, and Learning & Employee Development Department (LED) of the HR Department for the County. The position is within Employee Services Agency and reports to a Deputy County Executive.
An experienced leader of excellent character and integrity who reflects the vision and shares the mission of the County. A proven ability in leading a diverse HR department with a wide-range of obligations. This position requires an effective team builder who can communicate with a diverse County workforce as well as be highly organized and a strategic thinker. The HR Director must be an adept administrator who can manage a myriad of comprehensive HR services that will enable the County to continue to attract and retain a merit-based, high-quality, diverse workforce necessary to meet the needs of the County.
Considerable experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration and 3 years administrative experience directing or managing HR programs and personnel in a large public organization.
