Annual salary range: $112,259.89 to $135,923.63

Description:

The heartland of the Sacramento Valley, known for its close-knit, community-oriented rural/suburban environment, Sutter County (pop. 96,000) is centrally located, with the county seat of Yuba City just 40 miles north of Sacramento. The County’s FY ’16-’17 total budget is $276.6 million and includes 1,001 FTEs. The County is supported by 20 departments and provides a broad variety of services such as law enforcement, development services, general services, human services, public works, and veteran’s services.

The County is seeking a seasoned leader with a proven track record of quickly and effectively assessing, engaging with, and acclimating to an organization’s needs. This role requires creative ability, resourcefulness and discriminating judgment in the analysis and solution of complex problems, and the ability to make technical decisions on specialized matters. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills will be critical to the success of the next Director.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree and five years of increasingly responsible experience involving the direction of and policy determination for comprehensive human resource programs, including three years in a responsible management or supervisory capacity are expected. A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
