Salary: 

$5,809 – $7,745

Description:

Plan, develop and administer Human Resources programs including recruitment, selection, compensation and classification plan, benefits administration, training and organizational development, performance evaluation, personnel policies and records retention, labor relations, equal employment opportunity and Affirmative Action program administration, safety, risk management, wellness, employee award and recognition program, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, HIPAA compliance and exit interviews. Negotiate and/or serve on the negotiating team and facilitate negotiation planning; administer and interpret the collective bargaining agreements. Provides general management support to County Manager and department heads.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources Administration or a related field; AND at least five (5) years of experience in Human Resources management including one (1) year of administrative or supervisory responsibility; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Desirable Qualifications: A Master’s Degree and previous experience in the public sector in a similar capacity is highly desirable. Certification through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) as either a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources Management (SPHR).
