Description:

The Department of Health Services Seeks a Skilled and Visionary HR Professional to Lead a Team.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Health Services, you will be responsible for leading and supervising DHS staff performing personnel functions for the department; collaborating with various professional, technical, and clerical employees of the County’s central Human Resources Department, including staff in Recruitment & Classification, Disability Management, Safety, and Employee Relations; representing the department on various committees; and working with the executive management team to solve personnel issues through consultation, research, analysis, and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for this position include academic coursework in public administration, business administration, management, accounting, statistics, human resources or closely related courses; and two years of progressively responsible experience in a professional, human resources, administrative or fiscal staff position. Experience supervising professional, administrative or technical staff is desirable.
