Description:

The Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District has an exciting opportunity for a Hydrologic Systems Technician in Riverside. While working in the Watershed Protection Division, the incumbent will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems hardware. In addition, the incumbent will construct and maintain Early Warning Systems (EWS). The Hydrologic Systems Technician will also design and construct configurations for unique hydrologic site limitations and analyze collected data to ensure system reliability. The District desires candidates who have at least three years of experience with Instrumentation and Control Systems, field electrical construction, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and SCADA system maintenance.

Qualifications:

Experience: Three years of technical experience in the areas of electronics or hydrology; College level courses in electronics, physical science, engineering, or hydrology may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience on the basis of 12 semester or 18 quarter units equaling one year of experience.
