Description:

Placer County’s Administrative Services department is seeking a Senior Web Developer. Primary responsibilities will be maintaining, patching, upgrading and enhancing Placer County’s public-facing and internal websites and leading the web team’s ongoing and future efforts. SiteCore and SharePoint are two primary mediums for external and internal websites, respectively, at Placer County.

There are also some secondary application-specific websites that are developed in Microsoft’s .Net platform and the web team is responsible for maintaining and branding these sites on as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate will have extensive web development and responsive web design experience primarily in SharePoint and Microsoft’s .Net platforms. SiteCore is a very desired but optional skill to have for this position. Competency in the following areas is desired for this position as well: SharePoint – Power User, Forms, Templates, Layouts, Administration; Responsive web design; HTML5 and CSS3; jQuery; Content Management Systems; Mobile application development; Microsoft Visual Studio; Team Foundation Server; C#; MS SQL; IIS Configuration/setup; and Photoshop.

Qualifications:

Experience: Two years journey level professional information technology experience comparable to an Information Technology Analyst II with Placer County.

Training: Equivalent to completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems or a closely related field. Additional relevant technical experience that demonstrates the ability to perform analytical duties in assigned technology area or possession of one or more approved information technology certificates and/or completion of other approved technology-related training may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis. Possession of one or more approved information technology certificates and/or completion of other approved technology-related training may substitute for some or all of the required education.
